Allow us to guide you: 5 days a week, participate in our free activity & hiking program with hiking guide, Christian, from DAS.GOLDBERG.
From Valley to Summit
In summer, the three mountain lifts in Dorfgastein, Bad Hofgastein and Bad Gastein are in operation. Each carrying you to mountains with adventures around every bend. The colorful family opportunities on the Schlossalm, including a popular playground, fixed-cable climbs, the Schlossalmsee and guided scooter tours, make it truly unique. And the Stubnerkogel, with its famous footbridge, is an unforgettable adventure for every Gastein holidaymaker.
Thermal Swimming Lake
Since summer 2017, the thermal swimming lakes at the Alpentherme in Bad Hofgastein have been quietly steaming away. Families will find numerous opportunities awaiting them inside Family World at the Alpentherme. While adults can also make the most out of this resort's sauna and spa facilities.
Exploring on Two Wheels
A bike path runs next to the Achen Promenade alongside the river between Dorfgastein and Bad Gastein. Mountain bikers are also treated to MTB trails with fantastic scenery guaranteed. Guided bicycle tours are part of the activity program in Gastein Valley as well. And in our local sports stores, E-mountain bikes are available for you to rent.
Art and Culture
Gastein's summer of culture. Classic and authentic. Because it isn't just folk customs that have a long tradition in Gastein Valley. Every week from mid-May until the beginning of October, you will also be able to enjoy Classical concerts performed by Philharmonie Salzburg. And with the Gastein Card, these concerts in Bad Hofgastein are free for all our guests.
