From Valley to Peak
In summer, the three cable cars in the towns of Dorfgastein, Bad Hofgastein, and Bad Gastein are in operation. You could also call them adventure mountains. The extensive family offer on the Schlossalm with popular children’s playground, via ferratas, the Schlossalm lake, and guided scooter tours is a special experience. And the Stubnerkogel with its famous suspension bridge is an unforgettable adventure for every Gastein visitor.
Thermal Water Swimming Lake
In the summer months, the thermal water swimming lakes, which are directly connected to the Alpentherme in Bad Hofgastein, steam. For families, there’s a lot on offer especially in the Family World of the Alpentherme. And adults can additionally enjoy the sauna and thermal world of the spa.
On the Bike
Along the Ache from Dorfgastein to Bad Gastein, there is a bike path next to the Achen promenade. Mountain bikers also get to enjoy alpine mountain bike routes with guaranteed panoramic views. Guided bike tours are also part of the program in the Gastein Valley. And in our sports shops, mountain e-bikes are available for rent. Art and Culture
The Cultural Summer in Gastein. Classical and authentic. Because it’s not only customs that maintain tradition in the Gastein Valley. From mid-May to early October, you can also experience weekly classical concerts by the famous Salzburg Philharmonic. As part of the Gastein Card, these concerts in Bad Hofgastein are free for our guests.
